This spring season, it’s ALL about gingham.

Shop my look: Top, Skirt, Bag, Mules

If you haven’t already noticed, gingham is the “it” print this spring and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the trend. I’m pretty picky when it comes to wearing prints (usually I only stick to classic stripes, plaid, and the occasional camo or floral print if it’s done right) so gingham felt like a fresh option to add to my wardrobe.

There are tons of adorable gingham skirts on the market (check out my other picks below) but I fell for this particular skirt because of its crossover detail with an asymmetrical hemline. Plus, the material is slightly stretchy which made it more comfortable to wear– always a bonus.

I kept things simple by pairing it with a black lettuce edge “baby tee” and some blush colored mules. If gingham is the it print of spring, mules are the season’s it shoe. They can make even ultra casual outfits look chic, and are so easy to slide on and off. The light pink hue of mine gave my outfit a slight pop of color without going the obvious route (a.k.a. red, which can look played out when paired with B&W).

I’m not one to usually overdo it with accessories, so I stuck to my black leather Rebecca Minkoff mini moto satchel bag for a final touch.
