I’d love to get in on the Gucci Princetown loafers trend, but unfortunately I’m not currently in the position to drop $700 on a pair of shoes. Womp womp. While there are a ton of look-a-like versions of the Princetowns out now (everywhere from Target to Steve Madden) I’m not a big fan of those knockoff styles. These loafer mules are the perfect solution; rather than looking like a Gucci copycat, they have their own distinct look. Menswear-inspired fashion will be big this upcoming fall season, and these hit the mark– not to mention they’ll be such an easy shoe to slip in and out of, and give a polished look to outfits.
Right now, I’m all about authentic-looking denim in vintage-inspired fits (high-waisted, straight leg, and slightly cropped in length). It doesn’t get more authentic than Levi’s jeans, and this pair with cropped, frayed cuffs and dark wash detailing along the seams is sooo on-trend. Jeans like these can instantly make a basic white t-shirt or a simple black turtleneck top look super chic, and the best part is: they’re under $100!
I’ve been dying to try Urban Decay’s brand new Troublemaker mascara, which claims to give you “super fat, super long, sex-proof lashes,” and that it will “outlast even the most scandalous nights.” Honestly, I’m a sucker for good marketing, and these claims have totally peaked my interest. Plus, it’s gotten good reviews from what I’ve read online.
Wide-Brim Fedora Hat
Even though baker boy/cabby hats have taken over this season, I’m iffy on how I feel about that trend. I’m more likely to wear a classic wide-brim fedora style, and I’ve always heard great things about hats by Lack of Color, a cool Australian brand. This style is made from 100% Australian wool and is the perfect neutral taupe color to pair with fall sweaters and booties.
How cool is this military green corset t-shirt? I’ve been seeing a bunch of corset designs on the market, but most of them come across looking somewhat corny and/or cheap. This tee, however, has a more unique design and just the right amount of detailing to make for an on-trend look while still being laid-back.
I’m loving gold tone necklaces with religious pendants– they make even a plain white t-shirt look instantly luxe, and remind me of the fantastic jewelry available only in places like Greece and Italy. (They also sort of remind me of smaller, less iced out versions of rapper’s chains, which if you know me, is a big plus– ha.) Bagatiba is one of the hottest jewelry brands in the game right now, and their gold-filled vintage cross and Saint Mary charm necklace is a total forever piece.
